9/27/25 London, a day of great fun and culture

A room with a view
View of  an alley during our morning walk
English full breakfast at Jack the Clipper
Borough Market is buzzling, the highlight is a group of gentlemen singing hallelujah
Iconic Tower bridge

National Gallery of London is free and it has an amazing world class collection!!

P’s good friend told us to definitely check out Oliver the musical at the Gielgud Theatre…. And it surely exceeds all our expectations!! We were both in tears clapping when the cast took their bow… We can’t believe why such a wonderful show didn’t come to US

The lead who plays Fagin is magnetic and charismatic
Our friend told us Oliver is the best musical production he has ever seen and we agree

The Theatre district is right next to China town, so we ate Vietnamese pho for lunch and Indian food for dinner…. Most crowded China town we have even seen lately

China town is right next to the Theatre district

After dinner we ran into National portrait gallery and it’s another cool gallery that is free for all…… The museum tour guide is very unique

6/10/25-6/11/25 40 hours bus/train ride from Vancouver to LA

Needs to wake up super early to catch a 3.5 hours bus ride from Vancouver to Seattle..  and then catch a 36 hour Coast starlight train ride from Seattle to LA. We have done this train ride before and totally enjoyed it

Taking a 5:30 am bus from here to Seattle king street station
The most unassuming KFC we have seen
Passing through US custom… We need to exit the bus for that
Hello Seattle!!
We really love our little roomette on coast starlight….. Like a cozy cat box
A very blurry picture of Mount Rainier
The two green shirt gentlemen are the volunteers and gave me a klondike gold rush national historic park stamp on my journal

During dinner, they are playing the last waltz in the dinning car and that suddenly puts everyone in the mood…. The wonderful wait staff decided to perform the waltz for us…. We are over the moon😍

Non stop ever changing sceneries…

6/9/25 3rd day in Vancouver

We did not plan anything today, just relax and get ready for tomorrow’s epic train ride… So this morning we checked out the famous Stanley Park and it’s seawall

The walk this morning helped us racked in 8500+ steps.. Yeepee

Lunch at our hotel… They gave us each cad$15 coupon when we checked in we figured we better make use of it….. Love the ahi tuna tartare
P visited Vancouver art gallery
After dinner stroll to Canada place

6/8/25 Day trip from Vancouver to Whistler

Whistler is a famous ski resort here and it’s only 1:45 hours away from Vancouver via Epic rides bus..Whistler is known for its skiing and snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking and hiking in the summer.

The drive there was scenic

The peak to peak Gondola is the world’s highest and longest lift system… We went from greeneries to snow capped mountain top in 30 mins
Whistler was where they hosted 2010 winter Olympics
Incredible views at an
Gondolas and ski lifts juxtaposed
Rewarded ourselves with an AYCE hotpot dinner

6/5/25 Ketchikan Alaska, salmon capital of the world

We have been blessed with great weather so far until today..but all is good

I’m a musher now…. Got my own Iditarod two dog sled team 😆🤗

This port is also a revisit, so we are going to take it very easy today….. Nothing planned except a crab feast at the famous George Inlet Lodge

First we visit the Historic creek street to see the picturesque wooden buildings that stand on stilts above Ketchikan Creek.

Street scenes of Ketchikan

So on the way to George Inlet Lodge which is 16 miles away, we were surprised with a orca sighting by the bay as well as couple of gorgeous waterfalls

The wait staff  kept coming with tubs of steaming hot dungeness crabs to fill our plates and they are super fresh and tasty

To think that  we are in the salmon capital of the world and did not eat salmon… No regrets though… We will come back for the crabs…..

P won another art quiz again and hello champagne 🥂

6/4/25 Juneau Alaska

Juneau is the the capital of alaska… We have been here once more than a decade ago and it did not changed much, the old town, the Mendenhall Glacier and the crazy tourism

Pulling into Juneau early in the morning
Juneau seaside town
Mendenhall Glacier

We went for a whale watch excursion this time and it’s very cool…. To experience the environment that whales lives and fed

They said if we didn’t see whale, we will have our money back..  So of course we saw lots of whales
Hey guys… Our turn to sun bath….
Beautiful day in the natural habitat of Whales
We kept seeing the bald eagle everywhere here but failed to take a good picture of it
