Arrived early in the morning, just in time to enjoy sunrise over the bay bridge
So today I walked 7 to 8 miles from pier to fine art palace and then painted ladies, and then transamerica Pyramid
Woke up to a rainy melancholy day….. Enjoyed the free breakfast the hotel provided with a view of the courtyard pool
And then we checked out a beautiful mission north of paso robles just short drive away
We decided to go thrifting and there are great many number of shops…. And before we knew it, its lunch time……. Hit the jackpot again with our choice of a Mexican restaurant
Its amazing how we dont have any plans on where to go, yet comes up with one thing followed by another….. The next stop is Firestone walker (they made beers) visitor center for their facility tour
So, we only found out that paso robles had a bon fire concert event and count down on new years day… So we pat ourselves on the back for stumbling across this event without planning….
The band was fabulous, we were dancing in the rain, theres a proper count down and the biggest bonfire we have ever seen…. 2026 really get off with a bang!!
We decided to spend 2 days in paso robles although we have no idea at all what it was so we are in for a huge surprise…. A really pleasant surprise….
Stopped at goleta’s Ellwood restaurant for lunch…. Perfect sea front view with a wooden pier…. The sea today has a green hue…. Blue and green and so very pretty
And then a stop at Solvang which I haven’t been in decades…. And its delightful with lots of holiday spirits.
And we arrived at the city of paso robles… P immediately spotted Firestone walker brewery so as soon ad we checked in at our amazing hotel, we heafs towards its taproom and it did not disappoint
And them a walk at winter wonderland that is Pado Robles downtown city park
Originally we were supposed to stop at Grand Cayman, US virgin islands but this guy 👇 is in play and the port of call was canceled
Guess we just have to party all the way back to US on the ship for 5 sea days

Sunrise and sunsets…
We are doing a two island beach and snorkel excursion here…..its R’s first time snorkeling and its a fabulous experience
First time here in the island with 365 beaches… Long heard of it’s beauty so here we are to see it for ourselves
It’s hard to imagine we have sailed from cold and rainy British Ils in the beginning of the cruise 3 weeks ago to the hot and clammy carribean with another week to go
Antigua do have beautiful beaches…. R tried to shop but things are a bit expensive, food is expensive too for a small island…People are friendly and nice here..
Nothing to report but enjoy these sunrise sunset pics… Thank you universe for putting up such spectacular show for us every day…

Ponta Delgada is the capital and largest city of the Azores archipelago in Portugal, located on the island of São Miguel….and yes, we have never heard of it before…. It’s really in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and few have heard of it….. We just knew that after this port, it’s going to be 5 sea days until the next port of call of Antigua
It’s amazing in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, there’s this very prosperous little island with so much culture and and beauty to offer…..
Nothing much to report…. Enjoying the usual sea day activities… Zumba, Enrichment classes, Happy hour in our cabin….
Today at this port, we are going to Santiago de Compostela… Santiago de Compostela is a city in Spain famous as the final destination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage and the alleged burial site of St. James the Apostle. It is 1.5 hour away from Vigo so we joined an excursion that took us there and we will have 4 hours on our own there.
