10/1/25 Belfast, Northern Ireland

First time in Belfast and we find it quite charming ….

City sceneries
Titanic was built here In Belfast and set sailed in Southampton UK. The Titanic experience museum in Belfast is quite an experience indeed!! Learned so much about the facts from different perspectives
Many coastal places were shot in the game of thrones
The northern Ireland coastal sceneries are captivating.. This is antrim coastal route, one of the top 5 scenic drives in the world
Tapestries of greens are everywhere. Including sheeps and cows
Unesco site, The Giant Causeway!! Got quite a bit of work out out of it so we ended up celebrating with a pint
The most funny and amazing guide Tom

Our Guide Tom and Ian the driver are a amazing pair that filled the whole bus with laughter and fun… What a day!! They said it’s going to rain but it didn’t…. The sun was even out when we were at the giant Causeway…. We felt happy and lucky…. This tour that we found on TripAdvisor was only 1/10th of the price of ship’s excursion…. Cheers to that 🍻

Back to the ship just in time!!

9/30 Dublin Dun laoghaire port

We were last here almost 2 decades ago and really love the happy c’est la vi vibe of the Irish people….now the Dublin we knew from before has changed a lot so it’s time for a update

Tender boat to the Port and then train to Dublin
Trinity college…. We skipped the world famous library this time as we had been there before and they are charging entrance fee of $20 Euros now πŸ˜†
Pic of the  library from the net…. Wish we could dig out the old actual photos as they were taken before the digital age..
The famous Ha’penny bridge and mingling with the locals…
Lunch and Irish coffee at the iconic Temple Bar with live music, where we soaked in as much Irish vibe as possible!! The Irish coffee is rich and potent!! Yum πŸ˜‹
How people transport Guinness on the street….. Smart!!
National Gallery of Ireland
There’s a “portal” right in the middle of busy part of Dublin
Another wonderful Irish pub… Where we have shepherd’s pie and potato and leak soup… And of course, Guinness!! The group of German tourist right next to us are here for football game and they are super friendly
Street scenes of Dublin

So, here’s the update : Globalization happened to Dublin too!! Everything is super expensive here, especially clothing… And there are much more immigrants than before..

P’s good friend told us to definitely check out Oliver the musical at the Gielgud Theatre…. And it surely exceeds all our expectations!! We were both in tears clapping when the cast took their bow… We can’t believe why such a wonderful show didn’t come to US

The lead who plays Fagin is magnetic and charismatic
Our friend told us Oliver is the best musical production he has ever seen and we agree

The Theatre district is right next to China town, so we ate Vietnamese pho for lunch and Indian food for dinner…. Most crowded China town we have even seen lately
